Stephan Rabimov, a senior marketing leader who has shaped public understanding of proof-of-human technology at Tools for Humanity (World.org), has joined the Board of Directors of MPact Global.

At Tools for Humanity, a company founded by Sam Altman, Rabimov works on one of the harder problems in technology marketing: helping proof-of-human in an AI era move from technical possibility into public adoption. These are domains where capability often outpaces clarity and where trust is extremely fragile. He built this expertise across earlier roles at Houzz, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the United Nations, and as a Forbes contributor — turning technical and policy complexity into credible marketing content as new systems encounter skepticism, misinformation and real-world deployment.

At MPact Global, Rabimov will focus on one of the most consequential problems in technology and public health: the persistent gap between what advanced systems can do and what they reliably achieve in the world. In HIV, the medical tools to prevent transmission and enable long, healthy lives have existed for years. The harder and more elusive problem has been getting those tools — and the information systems around them — to work under real conditions of stigma, incomplete understanding, contested legitimacy and adversarial information environments. That gap has repeatedly limited progress in this field. Rabimov’s work on the board will center on closing it.

“The same stereotypes that shape how people relate to emerging technologies shape how they relate to prevention, treatment and care of HIV,” said Rabimov. “The barriers that limit adoption of emerging technologies are human: trust and legitimacy. These barriers also limit the impact of HIV prevention and treatment. When people do not understand a new tool, do not trust it or do not believe it is meant for them, it fails to translate into outcomes.”

Alex Garner, Interim Executive Director of MPact Global, said: “Stephan has spent his career making complex technology legible and credible under real-world conditions. That is a rare skill. He was recruited to strengthen our ability to engage the technical, informational and social systems that increasingly determine health outcomes for the communities we serve globally.”

Mpact Global  was founded in 2006 as The Global Forum on MSM & HIV (MSMGF) by an international group of activists who were concerned about the disproportionate HIV burden being shouldered by gay and bisexual men. The organization has since expanded its work to focus on the broader sexual health and human rights needs of all men who have sex with men. Mpact is the only global organization committed to building community for gay, bisexual, and queer men and dedicated to protecting and defending human rights. The diverse team brings a global perspective on issues concerning the health, equality, and justice for gay and bisexual men. The Mpact Global staff of experts in the field is dispersed across different regions, and the work extends to 62 countries around the globe.
